What we do in and around the studio
-
Studio Equipment Planning
We specify, schedule and check cameras, monitors, vision mixers and cabling before anyone arrives. Your studio is ready for the first rehearsal, with a clear list of what is installed and tested.
Services → -
Camera Movement Direction
Shot planning and practical coaching for tracking, jib and handheld work. We tailor the movement to your format, whether a brisk news bulletin or a loose, energetic entertainment show.
Services → -
Lighting Design
Lighting plots for news desks, talk sets and concert stages that flatter faces on camera. We keep rigs simple, so your crew can reset them quickly between shows and recordings.
Services → -
Sound Management
Microphone placement, mixing desk setup and monitoring for speech-led and music-led productions. We also brief presenters and floor teams, so the sound stays clean through live changes.
Services → -
Newsroom Coordination
Running orders, story tracking and handover routines that keep reporters, producers and gallery teams working from the same page, even when the bulletin changes minutes before transmission.
Services → -
Live Event Studio Support
On-site crew coordination for concerts, festivals and televised parties. We look after stage cameras, talkback and cue calling so the production team can concentrate on the show itself.

Studio Equipment Planning, step by step
This service suits studio managers and producers who are building, refitting or hiring a studio for a run of shows. We list what the format needs, check what you already own, and schedule the install around your rehearsal dates.
Contact
- Equipment specification
- We work from your format, crew size and transmission needs to list cameras, monitors, vision mixers and cabling. You receive a plain document that your team and any hire company can follow.
- Scheduling the install
- Delivery, rigging and testing are placed in a sensible order around your rehearsal calendar. We flag clashes early, such as access limits or a lighting rig that blocks camera positions.
- Cabling and signal checks
- Every run of cable and each signal path is labelled and tested before the crew arrives. Faults are found in a quiet hour, not in the middle of a rehearsal.
- Readiness walk-through
- Before the first rehearsal we walk the floor and gallery with your team, confirm each item against the list and record anything still outstanding, with a name beside it.
Bring floor plans, any existing equipment lists and your rehearsal and transmission dates. Even rough drawings help us specify the right kit and avoid repeat site visits.

A studio day planned long before the first cue
Every production has its own pace, crew and constraints, so we start by listening rather than prescribing. From there we plan the studio around your format, test it ahead of time and stay available while you run. The aim is a calm floor and few surprises on the day.
Initial conversation
We talk through your format, crew, venue and dates, and ask what has gone wrong on previous shows. This tells us where the risk sits and which of our services are actually useful to you.
What you leave withA short written summary of your needs and our proposed scope.
Site and kit review
We look at the studio or venue, check what equipment exists and note access, power and rigging limits. Where a visit is not possible, we work from plans and photographs supplied by your team.
What you leave withA list of equipment, gaps and practical constraints.
Plan and schedule
Equipment, lighting, sound and crew positions are drawn into one plan, then placed on a timetable that fits your rehearsals and transmission. Each task has an owner and a sensible order.
What you leave withA plan and schedule your whole team can follow.
Setup and rehearsal
We oversee rigging, cabling and testing, then support the first rehearsal so adjustments to camera moves, light and sound are made while there is still time to settle them.
What you leave withA tested studio and notes on adjustments made.
Live support and handover
During recording or transmission we coordinate with the floor, gallery and newsroom as agreed. Afterwards we hand over clear notes, so your team can repeat the setup without us.
What you leave withHandover notes covering setup, routines and open points.
What producers and editors tell us
These comments come from clients who have used our studio and newsroom services. They describe what changed in their daily work, in their own words.
Our gallery used to scramble in the hour before transmission. After scoopiro planned the cabling and tested every signal path, rehearsals started on time and the technical notes dropped to a handful. The checklist they left is still pinned in our control room.
The lighting plot for our talk set was simple enough that the floor team reset it themselves between recordings. Presenters look natural on camera and nobody has to climb a ladder mid-session to fix a shadow.
Tom rebuilt our running order and handover routine over a couple of weeks. Reporters now know what is expected at each stage, and the evening team inherits a clear picture of every story instead of a pile of messages.
For our festival broadcast the crew coordination was calm from load-in to the last cue. Talkback was clear, camera positions made sense, and when the schedule slipped, Helen reorganised the floor without any fuss.
